Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and spending time having a look round.

I grew up in the Lake District and whilst being aware of living in a stunning part of the UK, I admit that I took it for granted.  It was whilst studying in Manchester that I began to appreciate the beauty of this beautiful place as I  travelled back and forth on the train. It always gave me an uplifting feeling as I would watch the urban landscapes of Manchester and Preston return to rolling hills when the Lakeland fells signalled that I was home

After completing my courses and moving back to the Lakes, I bought a bridge camera and that’s when I began my journey, capturing the stunning scenery that was all around me.  Something ‘clicked’ literally and so I decided to pursue photography further. I was investing more time out with the camera and I soon realised how important my photography had become. As I was now taking it more seriously I knew I would need to upgrade my kit which I did.

I was delighted when images I had taken started to gain recognition and it was especially gratifying when I began to sell prints. My Lake District prints can be purchased here in my online shop, I can also be found regularly at 'Grange Prom Art’ that is held in the stunning setting of the Victorian prom in Grange over Sands. I'm delighted to sat they are back up and running, please click to find the dates on my events page.

Some years back, I met LEE Filters Master Photographer Mark Gilligan FBIPP. He liked my work and whilst I felt I was no where near as competent as I would have liked to have been, he was generous enough to take me under his wing and mentor me. I now work as Marks assistant on his bespoke landscape photography workshops which are supported by LEE Filters.

As well as the workshops, it is quite apparent that some photographers feel pressure from their friends whilst out on hill walks because they want to stop regularly to use their cameras. We recognised that some time back and in order to redress the balance so to speak, we also enjoy delivering PHOTOWALKS in the Lake District and Snowdonia.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work and have a good look through my site.  I will be delighted to answer any questions you may have and look forward to hearing from you!
